PLANNING’s design for the project entails the creation of seven apartment towers situated within a 17-acre landscaped park. This development will boast the tallest residential tower along the Eastern African coastline, spanning 25 storeys. From Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to Durban in South Africa, this tower will stand out.
The location of the project is on the beach-front of Kenya’s North coast, approximately 20 kilometers from the city of Mombasa. An existing resort and business center will undergo a transformation into a high-density, luxury residential and retail mixed-use development.
The arrangement of the towers has been carefully planned to ensure that apartments have ocean views and benefit from natural cross ventilation, allowing sea breezes to permeate the site. The development will consist of two commercial towers, providing over 200,000 square feet of leasable space, as well as five residential towers housing 325 apartments. Each apartment will enjoy uninterrupted views of the ocean.
Sustainability is a key focus of the project, encompassing both environmental and economic aspects. Water conservation measures will be implemented through rainwater harvesting, treatment, and recycling. Energy efficiency will be achieved through passive cooling and ventilation design systems. Additionally, the design will take into account the climate-specific conditions of the area by utilizing solar reflective and rust-resistant materials for the building fabric.
By incorporating these sustainable elements, the project aims to create an environmentally friendly and economically viable development that harmonizes with the coastal surroundings.
