This has been an extraordinary collective effort between an exceptional client and PLANNING, which started in 1978 with the original brief for Braeburn Primary School reception, administration offices, auditorium/theatre, and support facilities. The latest additions to the Braeburn family of projects are the proposed campuses in Thika and that in Mombasa.

Environmental conservation and water recycling are top priorities at the Braeburn Schools, with sewage treatment ponds being incorporated in all the campuses. These also feature strongly as landscaping features.

Braeburn Gitanga Road, Nairobi:

Theatre, kitchens, dining hall and office, music department, sports facilities, workshops, libraries, laboratories, art & design technology facilities, staff apartments, dormitories, guesthouse, and the club.

Braeside School, Lavington, Nairobi:

Works developed over the years include the primary school, high school, theatre and staff housing. The latest addition is the 6th form centre completed in 2011.

Braeburn School Arusha, Tanzania:

Facilities designed by PLANNING include the primary school buildings, staff, and student accommodation.

Braeburn School, Nanyuki:

Several facilities have been developed here including an assembly hall and classrooms. The priority was ease and speed of construction. Most of the structures are prefabricated with extensive use of timber slats for walling, with galvanized IT5 sheets for roofing.

Braeburn High School Garden Estate, Nairobi:

Various facilities developed over the years with the real pièce de résistance being the main assembly hall. The school was built up from an existing school which was bought by the client. PLANNING oversaw the construction of new facilities with a number of existing buildings being renovated to accommodate the new school. Works executed by PLANNING include the nursery school (converted from an existing High School teaching block), high school classrooms, staff apartments, dining hall and kitchens, dormitories, and sports hall.
