Severin Safari Camp

This project emerged with a brief that stipulated a need to keep to ecological tourism standards and to ensure that there was a minimal impact on the ecosystem. Originally known as ‘Kitani Safari Lodge’, a renovation was conducted and ownership taken over by Severin.

Located in close proximity to Mzima Springs, the camp has stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and reflects the closeness of nature. The camp is of a luxury design, comprising of 21 standard tents, 4 junior suites, and 2 executive suites designed for honeymooners.

Other design features include a 30-person conference tent, a spa, a fitness room, and a yin-yang swimming pool.

The camp has achieved the Eco Tourism of Kenya Silver award.
